What identification is needed for a child to fly Frontier Airlines?

A child under the age of 18 does not require showing any identity if he/she is travelling on the domestic USA flight. But yes, you are requested to carry an identity card if your kid looks older than his/her current age. It will help you to get the benefit without any argument or hurdle. This rule is not applicable in the case of lap children and unaccompanied minors flying on the domestic flights.

Lap children on domestic flights

All children under the age of 24 months, who are travelling without their seats, are recommended to carry an age proof document, such as passport, birth certificate, etc. It is needed when the gate agent asks for the age proof. An adult is only allowed to carry one lap child. If you are flying with two lap child, you are supposed to get another Frontier Reservations.

Unaccompanied minors on domestic flights

Frontier Airlines allow the minors to fly without their parents, without having Frontier Airlines Reservations. In such instances, the airline management asks for an age proof document, such as passport, birth certificate, etc.

Children on international flights

Regardless of their age, all passengers of an international flight are suggested to carry their passports as the age proof with their Frontier Airlines Reservation. However, there are some U.S. territories; such as St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, St. Croix, Micronesian islands, St. John, Guam, and American Samoa; where a passport is not required.
