Step 2: Open HyperTerminal emulation program (search it by using search bar, if you don’t have it then you can also download it from the internet).
Step 3: Configure a new connection, then name it as Arris, and click on OK.
Step 4: Power up the Modem and a set up mode will open on your computer screen. Configure your modem through this set up mode or continue the configuration through HyperTerminal emulation program.
Step 5: Type enable and press Enter button. You are now in the Privileged mode.
Step 6: Type configure terminal and press Enter button. You are now in the Global Configuration mode.
Step 7: You can now enter different commands to configure different aspects of the interface between the router and its components.
